I love creating new things on the Internet, but in doing so I want to try and minimize the impact these side projects have on the environment. One of the ways I’m trying to offset the carbon footprint of this site is to plant trees based on the bandwidth it uses. I already do this for my full time gig, Matter Storm Design, so instead of separating the stats out for each site, I’m combining them together.
The formula: We’re planting 1 tree for every 5 GBs of bandwidth we use.
